Earlier this year we announced the sale of a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) to Solarigo for their solar park in Finland. 15 MW / 37 MWh. Last week the containers were positioned on their foundations.
A solar park without storage sells whatever it generates at whatever the midday price happens to be. Add 37 MWh and the same asset can hold that production and deliver it when the system actually needs it. That is the difference between producing electricity and providing capacity.
Installation work continues on site. More updates as we progress toward commissioning.
Thank you to the Solarigo team for a strong collaboration.
