About us

Byhmgard was founded by Christian Byhmer and Rikard Edsgärd-Fog in the autumn of 2021, with the business idea of becoming a comprehensive provider of solar panels, battery storage systems, and charging stations. Just a few months later, Byhmgard came into contact with Svenska Kraftnät’s pilot project for frequency balancing, which allowed private individuals to connect their battery storage systems to the national grid. This encounter shifted Byhmgard’s business focus toward becoming a full-service provider of battery storage solutions – enabling the green transition.

In 2022, Byhmgard connected its first battery storage systems for ancillary services. The strategic decision to focus primarily on battery storage marked the beginning of our journey toward optimizing energy usage and promoting sustainability in our customers’ operations.

Byhmgard experienced organic growth by strengthening its organization and introducing new strategic partnerships. This expansion led to exponential growth, surpassing SEK 100 million in revenue, and earning the title of Company of the Year in Halmstad.

In 2024, Byhmgard continues its growth through new partnerships – ranging from subcontractors to publicly listed real estate companies. The company also begins making its own investments in battery storage to help drive the green transition. During the summer, we welcomed Gelba Management AB as a shareholder and strategic partner to further develop our business.
