Strong Momentum for Energy Storage at Intersolar Europe 2025

The growing importance of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) was clearly on display at this year’s Intersolar Europe in Munich. Representing Byhmgard AB, CEO Christian Byhmer attended the event, spending several days engaging with industry leaders, innovators, and partners from across the continent.

A standout observation from the exhibition was the expanding footprint of the Electrical Energy Storage (EES) section, which has now become a central part of the tradeshow. The shift reflects a broader trend across Europe: energy storage is fast becoming a cornerstone of the renewable energy transition.

“Throughout the week, nearly every conversation pointed in the same direction—demand for flexible, scalable storage is rising sharply across European markets,” said Byhmer. “It’s clear that BESS is no longer a niche technology. It’s moving to the center of the energy landscape.”

In addition to observing market trends, the event served as a platform to establish new partnerships and reconnect with peers from across the sector. These engagements are expected to lead to several follow-up discussions in the coming weeks.

Byhmgard AB continues to support the advancement of sustainable infrastructure, with energy storage playing a key role in its strategy for the future.
